I'm delighted to now be partnering with a growing Multi-Schools Trust which is rapidly developing a track record of academic and financial success, to recruit an experienced HR Business Partner to join their team. Please note; this role offers hybrid working, requiring a minimum of 3 days pw working in the business that will include regular visits to sites across South-East London.

As HR Business Partner, you will be responsible for delivering a proactive HRBP service to Head of Schools/Headteachers and other staff, covering a full range of the employee life cycle including:

1. Recruitment and selection
2. Inductions
3. Performance management
4. HR/Employee Relations casework

You'll provide professional advice and support through actively coaching line managers and attending meetings, ensuring the fair and consistent application of Trust policies and procedures, based on up-to-date employment legislation and best practice HR principles. You will act as HR lead across your designated areas in relation to all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including organisational change initiatives e.g. team/department restructures, TUPE transfers, Outsourcing arrangements. You will also manage the HR/ER case list being managed within the HR team and support the recruitment process within your areas of responsibility, as well as supporting Trust-wide recruitment initiatives.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

1. MCIPD qualification (or equivalent experience)
2. Experience of working in a busy and complex HR department, in a generalist role, ideally at HR business partner level.
3. Demonstrable knowledge of UK employment legislation and the ability to interpret and provide advice on employment law, policy and practice.
4. Proven experience of advising a range of managers and leaders on a wide range of issues including remuneration, terms and conditions, recruitment, employee relations and general staffing issues.
5. Experience of providing advice on HR case work up to Employment Tribunal appeals.
6. Experience of updating and writing HR policies and procedures.
7. Experience of performance management and working within defined policies and procedures and best practice.
8. Experience of supporting organisational change including restructures and TUPE.
9. Experience of working in a unionised environment, ideally within the education sector.
