The Business:
We are working in partnership with a well-established, values-led organisation in the North East to recruit a Communications Officer to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping and delivering internal communications across a diverse and multi-site workforce.
The Role:
This is a hands-on, creative and influential role, where you will support the development of internal communications and help bring the organisation’s strategy to life for colleagues at every level.
You will work closely with senior leadership while also engaging directly with teams across the business, giving you excellent exposure and the chance to make a tangible impact.
* Support the delivery and ongoing development of the internal communications strategy
* Create engaging content across multiple channels, including intranet, email, campaigns and events
* Manage and maintain an internal content calendar
* Drive engagement through creative storytelling and colleague-focused campaigns
* Take ownership of internal communication channels, identifying opportunities to improve reach and impact
* Work closely with stakeholders across the business to advise on and shape communications approaches
* Support delivery of internal events, campaigns and engagement initiatives
* Liaise with external partners including design and print agencies where required
The Candidate:
* Experience in a communications or internal communications role - Ideally 2+ years
* Strong copywriting and content creation skills (e.g. newsletters, campaigns, digital content)
* Experience managing or contributing to multiple communication channels
* A collaborative approach, with the confidence to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
* The ability to think creatively, challenge ideas constructively and suggest improvements
* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
