Structural Engineer Jackson Hogg is delighted to be recruiting for a Structural Engineer on behalf of a leading project delivery specialist providing full turnkey EPC solutions to the bulk material handling and plant processing markets. Key Responsibilities of the Structural Engineer * Review project specifications and confirm the scope of structural works. * Prepare Civil/Structural Basis of Design summaries and ensure designs align with project requirements. * Develop and validate structural analysis models to generate accurate loadings and assess structural performance. * Produce hand calculations, technical drawings, and calculation reports to support project documentation. * Check outputs to ensure analytical models, calculations, and drawings are accurate and compliant. * Support design checking processes and quality assurance requirements. * Attend site surveys, client meetings, and design/model reviews as required. * Escalate any changes to scope or technical queries promptly to the Project Engineer. * Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 processes, quality standards, and company policies. * Contribute to team knowledge sharing, mentoring, and continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements of the Structural Engineer: Essential: * BEng (Hons) in Civil or Structural Engineering. * Proven experience in civil/structural design within engineering or construction environments. * Proficiency in structural analysis software (STAAD Pro or Tekla Structures). * Strong understanding of load cases, structural behaviour, and compliance with codes and standards. * Experience producing technical reports, drawings, and calculations. * Excellent time management and ability to meet project deadlines. * Strong communication skills, able to liaise with internal and external stakeholders. Desirable: * Experience in bulk material handling, plant processing, or heavy engineering sectors. * Knowledge of additional analysis or design software. * Experience in site surveys and interfacing with contractors or clients.
