The Imaging Department at Weston General Hospital is looking to recruit a Band 6 MRI Radiographer on a part-time, permanent contract.
Applications are invited from Radiographers who have a minimum of 1 year MRI experience. Previous NHS experience is essential.
Role development is encouraged, and the department is committed to supporting CPD. Applicants will be expected to be involved in training student radiographers.
We require staff with excellent communication skills, a flexible approach and attitude; commitment and passion to deliver and improve the service. Weston General Hospital Radiology Department is accredited by QSI, and all members are encouraged to play an active role within this.

Responsibilities include:
1. To produce high-quality diagnostic images.
2. To have knowledge of MRI scanning and safety protocols.
3. To have expert knowledge of CRIS and PACS.
4. Good communication skills – verbally to patients and carers, other health service staff both within and outside the organisation, and written skills for communicating with other health service personnel.
5. Ability to liaise effectively with staff of all levels, conveying information about patients, diagnoses, equipment malfunction, technical aspects of scans, etc.
6. Proven ability to communicate effectively with patients and carers to obtain correct images.
7. Ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with highly stressed and emotional patients, especially newly diagnosed cancer patients.
8. Good team working skills.
