Plumber/Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Plumber/Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a team on a large static site near Little Chesterford. This is a static position, working Monday to Friday with overtime available. A strong focus on progression and training within a reputable facilities management company is expected.
Overview
Role: Plumber/Mechanical Maintenance Engineer on a large static site. Location: near Little Chesterford. Status: static position with potential overtime.
Responsibilities
* Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and complete the appropriate paperwork and reports.
* Perform Reactive and emergency breakdown tasks and complete the associated paperwork.
* Be on a call-out rota to provide the client with full out-of-hours cover.
* Oversee visiting subcontractors with regard to the standard of work and Health and Safety.
* Adopt a flexible attitude in relation to assisting on other properties within the portfolio.
* Carry out all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.
* Understand and complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time.
* Carry out work in a safe and diligent manner.
* Comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
* Daily PPM and Reactive Maintenance Tasks including:
o Plumbing
o UPS systems and associated control systems
o Boiler room checks
o Cooling towers
o Fan coil units / AHUs / Fans
o Heating pumps
Qualifications
* City and Guilds / NVQ Plumbing or Mechanical Qualified (or equivalent).
* Experience in a commercial environment.
* Experience working within a hospital or R&D environment (desirable).
* Good building services knowledge.
* Ability to work in a team environment.
* Be able to pass a DBS check.
