This is a hybrid position, combining the best of both worlds - working from home and spending time in our Halifax office.

What does a day-to-day look like?
* Underwrite referrals from commercial scheme brokers within Covéa’s strategy, appetite, and authority limits.
* To be an advocate of effective trading and providing support to colleagues with trading initiatives
* Develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with broker partners and internal stakeholders.
* Completing any other activity over and above those listed in the role profile, appropriate to your skills and experience
* Involvement in key projects such as large loss reviews, breach reports, portfolio management and flood scrutiny.
* Maintain an accurate audit trail using Covéa’s systems, practices, and procedures.
* Support lead underwriters to deliver the required rate increases across their scheme accounts.
* Identify, document and feedback underwriting and pricing trends to lead underwriters.
What you’ll need to succeed:
* Ability to work as part of a team within a fast-paced environment to achieve targets
* An excellent level of communication and be willing to develop and build strong trading skills
* Excellent time management and organisational skills
* Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills
* A positive attitude with motivation to learn and develop
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, conveying information to customers in a professional and efficient manner
* An awareness of the market and legal/industry developments
* Driven, ambitious and resilient.
* Keen problem solver with an eye for detail
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to work well individually as well as part of a team.
* Ability to organise, prioritise and manage workflow to achieve optimal outcomes.
