This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Lecturer in Counselling, based in Wolverhampton.
Role Description
The Senior Lecturer will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, curriculum development, and student support in the field of Counselling. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and delivering lectures, conducting seminars, supervising student projects and research, engaging in scholarly activities, and contributing to the academic community. The role also involves assessment and feedback duties, as well as participating in departmental meetings and activities.
Qualifications
* Extensive experience in Counselling practice and teaching in higher education
* Strong background in curriculum development and academic mentoring
* Proficiency in student assessment, feedback, and support
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Commitment to research and scholarly activities in the field of Counselling
* Doctorate in Counselling or a related field is preferred
* Experience in developing and delivering innovative teaching methods
* Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the department
* Strong organizational and time management skills
* A passion for enhancing the student experience and supporting their academic growth
