Senior HR Business Partner

📍 Central London – Hybrid

đź•’ 12-Month Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover)

đź’· Circa ÂŁ115,000 + Contract Completion Bonus


Middlemore is proud to partner with a prestigious, globally renowned Asset Management firm in their search for an accomplished Senior HR Business Partner to join their London office on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

The Role

As Senior HR Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role within a collaborative and agile HR team, reporting directly to the Head of HR. You will partner closely with key business leaders across the Sales and Marketing functions (c.110 employees) to deliver strategic and operational HR initiatives that drive performance, engagement, and organisational success.


The role is broad in scope, encompassing both strategic partnering and hands-on operational delivery. You will contribute to key HR projects, lead on generalist activities, and provide expert guidance on all aspects of the employee lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities

* Act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to senior stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, and associated client groups.
* Develop and implement people strategies aligned to business objectives, ensuring strong alignment between HR initiatives and commercial outcomes.
* Provide expert support across the full employee lifecycle, including talent management, organisational design, performance management, and employee relations.
* Partner with the business on workforce planning, succession planning, and capability development.
* Collaborate closely with Centres of Excellence (Talent, Reward, L&D) to deliver consistent and effective HR solutions.
* Lead and support on HR projects and change management initiatives across the business.
* Champion the firm’s culture, values, and diversity, equity & inclusion agenda.
* Provide coaching and guidance to managers to enhance leadership capability and employee engagement.
* Ensure compliance with employment legislation and HR best practice, mitigating risk and maintaining the highest standards of governance.


About You

* Experienced HR Business Partner with a proven track record in a complex, matrixed, and fast-paced environment — ideally within financial services, asset management, or professional services (SME ideally)
* Strong generalist background with deep understanding of the employee lifecycle, HR operations, and strategic business partnering.
* Demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and tactically — comfortable “rolling up sleeves” when needed.
* Exceptional relationship-building skills with the ability to influence, challenge, and partner effectively at senior levels.
* Commercially astute, data-driven, and results-oriented, with the ability to translate business needs into actionable HR strategies.
* Highly collaborative team player with excellent communication, judgment, and discretion.
