SAP Project Systems (PS) Functional Analyst
We’re seeking an experienced SAP Project Systems (PS) Functional Analyst to support the delivery, stabilisation, and continuous improvement of enterprise project management capabilities and their integration into core finance processes.
You’ll act as a key link between Finance stakeholders and SAP PS, ensuring project financial controls, reporting, and planning processes operate effectively across SAP and connected enterprise platforms. The role sits within an Agile delivery environment and spans the full application lifecycle—from design and configuration through testing, release, and support.
Key Responsibilities
* Serve as the functional bridge between Finance and SAP PS, ensuring alignment across project accounting, reporting, and controls.
* Analyse requirements and recommend process improvements across SAP PS and SAP Finance/Controlling (FI/CO).
* Support solution design and configuration including project structures, WBS standards, budgeting, settlement, and reporting.
* Support integration between SAP PS, FI/CO, and external project/financial planning systems.
* Assess impacts from enterprise planning tools (e.g., Oracle EPM) on SAP finance, PS, and investment planning processes.
* Contribute to decisions around specialist project cost management tools (e.g., Dassian) and their interaction with SAP.
* Support SIT/UAT, data validation, and reconciliation across integrated systems.
* Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, demos, retros) and drive continuous improvement.
* Support lifecycle activities: upgrades, patching, incident/problem resolution, and enhancements.
* Produce documentation for governance, approvals, and change control.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Strong functional experience in SAP Project Systems (PS).
* Hands-on experience with WBS structures, project profiles, budgeting, settlement, and project cost reporting.
* Solid understanding of SAP PS integration with FI/CO.
* Experience supporting enterprise integrations and project financial data flows.
* Comfortable working in Agile delivery teams.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and business analysis capability.
Desirable
* Experience with Primavera P6 or enterprise project controls platforms.
* Familiarity with Oracle EPM or enterprise financial planning tools.
* Exposure to Dassian or similar project cost management solutions.
