Overview
Senior Mental Health Practitioner - Nurse role at Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust. This is a full-time band 6 position within the Wiltshire Community Eating Disorder Service (WCEDS). The service provides a stepped model of care tailored to stabilisation and recovery for adults with eating disorders, delivered in community settings across Wiltshire and Swindon. You will join a supportive, multi-disciplinary team that values staff development and patient-centred care.
Responsibilities
* Provide specialist eating disorder assessment and treatment for adults with eating disorders in community and clinic settings.
* Deliver specialist nursing assessment, evidence-based, needs-led treatment and discharge planning, either on an individual or group basis.
* Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of Nurses, Psychologists, CBT therapists, medics, Dietitian and Occupational Therapists to deliver holistic, patient-centred care.
* Maintain outstanding communication with patients, carers and the clinical team; provide verbal and written feedback and reports; attend clinical and professional meetings; liaise with other agencies involved in the patient\'s care.
* Engage in opportunities to contribute to Quality Improvement (QI) projects to develop services for the local population.
* Develop close working relationships with CAMHS colleagues and support the transition of patients from CAMHS to adult services; provide various group treatments available to individuals who can access CAMHS alongside the adult team.
Qualifications
* Professional qualification with current UK registration.
* Experience in eating disorders or transferable core nursing skills to this role.
* Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team in a holistic, patient-centred manner.
* Strong communication skills to keep patients, carers and the clinical team updated on plans and progress.
