Role
As a Project Manager you will contribute to the successful delivery of projects within the Land Ranges Portfolio. The Land Ranges portfolio is one of three programme areas within the Integrated Delivery Team and is responsible for delivery of trials on the UK LTPA sites.
Day‑to‑day, you are part of a high‑performing team who deliver on Weapon Services across the Land Ranges, managing trials at sites in Shoeburyness, Pendine, West Freugh and Eskmeals.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Development and maintenance of positive engagement with portfolio customers, partners, suppliers and internal stakeholders
* Operating in a Safe & Secure manner in line with the QinetiQ Operating Framework
* Embedding a culture within the IDT in line with the QinetiQ values
* Delivery of the Project outcomes, to agreed baseline (customer satisfaction, time, cost and quality)
* Partnering with the Operations and Engineering leadership teams to ensure a collegiate and efficient approach to the delivery of portfolio outcomes
* Ensuring project teams operate in line with the QinetiQ Operating Framework & functional competency management requirements; and have appropriate personal objectives recorded in the QinetiQ performance management system
Essential experience for the Project Manager:
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Project Management setting
* Demonstrable experience in Scheduling, Risk and Bidding within a PMO function
Essential qualifications for the Project Manager:
* APMQ or working towards
Location: Bristol site. Hybrid based role with an average expectation of 3 days per week onsite. Candidate must be able to travel fortnightly to one of the test sites for 2–3 days at a time.
