This is an exciting opportunity for a Rents and Service Charge Officer to join the not-for-profit sector in Preston and surrounding areas. The role focuses on ensuring accurate management of rents and service charges within the Accounting & Finance department.

Description

As a Rents and Service Charge Officer duties will include but are not limited to:

* Manage the calculation and administration of rents and service charges.
* Prepare monthly lease payment schedules
* Calculating annual rent increases
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
* Prepare and distribute accurate rent and service charge statements.
* Collaborate with internal teams to resolve financial discrepancies.
* Maintain and update accurate records of payments and adjustments.
* Assist in budget preparation and forecasting for rents and service charges.
* Provide detailed reports and analysis to support decision‑making processes.
* Respond to queries from tenants and stakeholders in a timely manner.


Profile

A successful Rents and Service Charge Officer should have:

* A background in Accounting & Finance or a related field.
* Experience in managing rents and service charges.
* Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and compliance requirements.
* Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
* Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Excel.
* An ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
* Strong communication skills to liaise with tenants and stakeholders.
