This is a high-impact role where you will partner closely with sales teams, lead category initiatives, and influence the innovation agenda for some of the most exciting market segments. In this dynamic role you will: Deep dive into strategic market segments (e.g., Confectionery, Drinks, Automotive), analyzing internal data and external sources like Euromonitor, Mintel, and IGD to uncover shopper and retail trends Review and refine our product portfolio, identifying gaps and innovation opportunities to keep us ahead of the curve Work together with sales teams to position DS Smith as a packaging strategist for our customers, driving top and bottom-line growth through insight-led solutions Anchor the innovation agenda in customer and segment insights, ensuring our portfolio evolves with changing market dynamics Develop action plans that impact sales, margin, and pricing performance, and support pitches with compelling insights and strategies Define and deploy communication strategies in collaboration with the Head of Communication and local teams Act as the ongoing point of contact for sales teams, providing category expertise and insight to strengthen customer relationships We are seeking a commercially savvy, insight-driven professional with a passion for category management and innovation. About you Demonstrated experience in Marketing, Category Management or Brand Management from previous roles (ideally within FMCG) Experience within a Sales role is highly advantageous Passionate about growing businesses in partnership with our customers Interest in consumer / shopper behaviour, retailing, FMCG supply chains and the fast-changing sales channels Excellent communication and presenting skills and stakeholder management with ability to collaborate and develop strong relationships with internal and external partners Drive, determination and resilience with energy, enthusiasm, and a can-do attitude and behaviours Location: This is a home-based role with travel to sites in UK&I as required.
