We are seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable Veterinary Administration Assistant to join our busy, multi-site small animal practice located in South Somerset, near the Devon and Dorset borders.
About the Role
As part of our dedicated team, your key responsibilities will include:
1. Managing the daily scheduling of approximately 40 staff members across our four sites using the HR platform, Dayforce, including updating shifts to cover holidays and sickness absence.
2. Processing pet insurance claims and payments, while assisting clients with related queries.
3. Supporting debt prevention and management activities and processing client payments.
4. Providing administrative assistance to the Practice Manager, Clinical Director, and Head Nurse as required.
5. Offering reception cover during periods of sickness or annual leave.
About You
The ideal candidate will be:
6. Self-motivated, efficient, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
7. Experienced in a veterinary or medical environment, with a background in customer care.
8. Professional and confident in interactions with both staff and clients.
9. Proficient in computer and IT skills.
10. Able to perform well under pressure and adapt to changing demands.

Rota Pattern
This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Shift times will be between 8:30am and 5:00pm Monday, we are able to offer some flexibility with start and finish times.
You will work across both of our Chard and Crewkerne centres, with occasional duties at other sites as required
