Key Responsibilities General Responsibilities Conducting consultations with patients to assess, diagnose, and treat various health conditions Managing chronic illnesses and providing preventive care Coordinating with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records Participating in practice meetings and contributing to the continuous improvement of services. Supporting and mentoring junior staff and medical trainees. Clinical Care Provide same-day assessments, diagnosis and management for patients presenting with urgent but non-life-threatening conditions. Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care in line with clinical guidelines and local pathways.
Undertake clinical examinations, investigations, and procedures within your competence. Prescribe safely and appropriately in accordance with national and local protocols. Identify and escalate patients requiring emergency intervention or secondary care. Ensure continuity of care by communicating effectively with GP practices, community services, and hospital teams.
Professional Practice Maintain accurate, timely clinical records using the centres electronic patient record system. Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement activities, and service reviews. Engage in regular appraisal, revalidation, and mandatory training. Ensure adherence to safeguarding policies for adults and children.
Contribute to Practice discussions and collaborate with ANPs, Nurses, HCAs, and Reception/Admin staff. Service Delivery & Patient Experience Support the centre in meeting service standards, KPIs, and CQC requirements. Provide a friendly, respectful, and efficient service to all patients. Promote health education, self-care, and preventative approaches.
Help maintain a safe, clean clinical environment, escalating issues where needed
