Electrical Engineer – Power Generation
c£50,000 + Up to 25% bonus + £9,000 car allowance

MC Technical Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineer to provide technical support & engineering solutions across a fleet of Landfill Gas (LFG) Power Generation sites across the South West including Bristol, Swindon Wales, Oxfordshire & South Birmingham. The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for supporting technicians to ensure compliance & governance for the various electrical systems across the plants.
As the Electrical Engineer you will be responsible for:
* Supporting the relevant Landfill Gas plants across the South West with technical support on all electrical systems
* Managing the workload of an Electrical Technician
* Developing asset management strategies as required
* Assisting with maintenance activities when required in order to keep plant operation & prevent downtime
* Identifying area of improvement across the sites to increase plant efficiency
* Directing site contractors as required
* Assisting the Electrical Maintenance Manager with work relating to design standards, code of practice & all compliance requirements for the safe & reliable operation of the applicable assets
To be considered for this role you should have:
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant electrical maintenance or engineering role in the power or heavy process sectors. This could include power stations, chemical plants, cement works, pharmaceutical or refineries
* A qualification at Degree/HND/HNC level in electrical engineering or similar
* Extensive practical experience with maintenance/engineering work on a variety of electrical plant such as switchgear, motors, generators, transformers. Experience with HV plant would also be ideal
* Ideally a NEBOSH or IOSH qualification
* A full UK driving licence is essential for this role as travel to other sites is required
