Job Title: SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) Location: Featherstone, Staffordshire, WV10 Contract: Part-time (1 day per week) Start Date: ASAP Duration: Ongoing, long-term Agency: Smile Education Pay: £160-£200 per day Smile Education are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SENCO to join a welcoming primary school in Featherstone, Staffordshire (WV10) on a part-time basis (1 day per week). This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting and developing the school’s provision for pupils with Special Educational Needs. Key Responsibilities: Lead and coordinate the school’s SEN provision in line with statutory requirements. Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure all children receive appropriate support. Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) and interventions. Liaise with external agencies and professionals to promote the best outcomes for pupils. Support staff in adapting teaching and learning strategies to meet diverse needs.Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) essential. SENCO qualification National Award for SEN Coordination (or equivalent experience). Strong understanding of SEND Code of Practice. Excellent communication and organisational skills.
