Business Support Administrator *Internal Applicants*

The closing date is 04 June 2026.

Internal only to North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust employees.

To provide a confidential proactive administration service to the joint digital support services, including room bookings, maintaining office systems, distribution of post, receiving and processing deliveries and supporting the Business Support Manager in building management activities related to Maglona House. This will involve communicating information between the team, working to deadlines and managing own work on a day-to-day basis under the guidance of the Business Support Manager.


Main duties of the job

The Business Support Administrative main duties are to support the Associate Director, Heads of Service and Business Support Manager with all aspects of administration for Digital Programmes and the Digital Healthcare Team including supporting with building management for Maglona House.

The post holder will be experienced in all aspects of administration and will report to the Business Support Manager.

Qualifications

* GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths at 'C' or above
* NVQ2 in Business Administration or equivalent
* IT skills with the ability to implement a variety of software programmes i.e. Access, Excel, Power Point, Publisher, Outlook
* NVQ3 in Business Admin or equivalent
* ECDL/Advanced ECDL
* RSA 111 or equivalent word processing qualification


Knowledge & Experience

* Previous experience of providing secretarial/clerical/admin support
* Experience of arranging meetings, workshops, events and coordination follow-up actions
* Minute taking
* Diary management
* Sound knowledge of administrative procedures/systems of working
* Ability of operate Electronic Diaries
* Good understanding of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel
* Experience of working within NHS/ Local Authority environment
* Fire Warden
* Previous project and programme administration experience
* SharePoint
* Service improvement tools and methodologies
* Information Governance & Cyber Security requirements
* Health & Safety requirements
* Fire Safety Requirements
* Takes responsibility for own learning, development and behaviour - actively seeks to develop and demonstrate own competence
* Excellent communication skills, verbal and written skills
* Ability to create a sense of community amongst those involved in this area of work
* The ability to find ways of solving or pre-empting problems

* Ability to build positive working relationships with internal and external colleagues

* Ability to understand operational and corporate needs.


Other Requirements

* Ability to prioritise own work in order to meet deadlines under pressure and with minimum supervision
* Ability to work flexible to meet the needs of the service, e.g. occasional out of hours working
* Ability to travel independently across West North and East Cumbria on a regular basis
* Promote equality and value diversity
* Driving Licence


Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
