Randstad Student Support Team dedicated to supporting the wellbeing of its diverse student population. They are seeking a compassionate and skilled Mental Health Specialist Mentor to join their student support team.
Role
You will be instrumental in providing individualized support to neurodiverse students, empowering them to thrive academically and personally. You'll design and implement comprehensive support plans, offer guidance and counseling, and collaborate effectively with university staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment. This involves fostering strong relationships with students, guiding them through challenges, and maintaining confidential records.
Main Tasks
* Develop and implement personalized support plans for neurodiverse students.
* Provide mental health guidance and counseling to students.
* Collaborate with university staff to ensure holistic student support.
* Guide students through academic and personal challenges.
* Maintain accurate and confidential student records.
* Contribute to service improvement initiatives.
* Stay updated on best practices in mental health support.
Requirements
* Relevant professional body registration (e.g., BACP, BPS, HCPC).
* Proven experience supporting students' mental health needs.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Bachelor's degree (advantageous).
* Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
* Experience working with neurodiverse individuals.
* Proficiency in counseling and mentoring techniques.
* Commitment to creating a positive and inclusive environment.
