Description
Enva Specialist Scotland is seeking an HGV Class 1 ADR Driver to safely transport hazardous goods by road while complying with strict legal, safety, and environmental regulations. This is a full-time, permanent role in Lugton.
Key Responsibilities
* Load, secure, and unload hazardous cargo properly
* Check vehicle safety (daily inspections, defect reporting)
* Ensure correct documentation and labelling for ADR loads
* Follow route plans and safety procedures, especially for high-risk materials
* Respond correctly in case of emergencies (spills, leaks, accidents.)
* Complete daily pre-start vehicle inspections and submit to Transport department
* Report all accidents, vehicle defects, breakdowns
* Ensure that health, safety and welfare standards are maintained in accordance with the Company’s safety policy, Risk Assessments, Safe Working Procedures and Instructions
* Operate vehicles to collect, transport, and deliver waste materials between designated locations.
* Maintain the cleanliness of the driving cab.
* Assist in the control and co-ordination of work to ensure efficiency and productivity.
* Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service.
* Report any safety concerns, hazard observations, accidents and incidents in a timely manner to allow full investigation and prevent re-occurrence on Enva reporting system.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Hold a valid HGV licence
* Hold ADR licence covering tanks and packages
* Hold a valid digital tachograph card and have completed all CPC requirements.
