Planning Enforcement Officer Location: CV11 5AA Start date: ASAP Contract duration: 4+ months Working hours: Mon – Fri, 09:00 – 17:00, 36 hours per week Pay rate: £45 per hour About the Role: Investigate complaints about alleged breaches of planning control, conducting site visits and collecting evidence. Maintain clear, accurate records and communicate outcomes to complainants and alleged offenders. Draft and serve a variety of enforcement notices, including Planning Contravention and Stop Notices. Conduct interviews in accordance with the Police and Criminal Evidence Act (PACE) where required. Prepare written statements and represent the Council in enforcement appeals, hearings, and court. Provide advice to the public, councillors, and colleagues on enforcement matters. Support the wider planning team and contribute to service-wide projects and continuous improvement. Essential Criteria: Recent and relevant experience in a local authority or similar public service environment. Experience in investigating planning breaches or enforcement-related work.
