Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced HR Assistant to join Cheshire East Council's HR Team on an initial 3 month temporary contract. This role is supporting the Children's Social Care Team.
What You’ll Do

Provide first-line HR advice to managers and employees across a range of areas, including absence management, PDR, and low-level casework
*
Support the delivery of HR initiatives, including recruitment and retention, apprenticeships, and workforce planning
*
Assist in managing contracts and relationships with key providers (e.g. Occupational Health, EAP, Agency Workers)
*
Use systems such as our Learner Management System (LMS) and Unit 4 to process employee lifecycle tasks and support learning and development
*
Analyse and interpret workforce data to support decision-making and reporting
*
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and joined-up HR service
About You
*
Has experience working in an HR environment (or strong interest and commitment to pursuing an HR career)
*
Is already working towards or committed to undertaking the Level 5 HR Apprenticeship
*
Understands HR policies, employment regulations, and best practices
*
Has strong communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills
*
Can confidently interpret data and provide sound HR advice
