The role will include being an active member of the On call service for out of hours support in evenings and weekends

Well, the truth is, there isnt one. Each one of our services are different and the individuals we support have a variety of ambitions and goals for each session. Now, there may be some reoccurring themes such as support with daily household tasks like preparing meals, keeping their home tidy, shopping, supporting with medication, accessing the community and so on. As a Team leader, your role is to ensure that the service is delivered with respect and dignity for the individuals we support. You will have ownership of your team and supported living locations, monitoring the quality of care being delivered. Utilising and working together with your team, individuals supported, families and other agencies.
The options are almost endless and we are looking for individuals with a drive to make a difference and seek new opportunities for our service users to make the most out of their support and strive to reach their individual goals. For some clients, hitting the gym and exercise is a big part of their day, while others their day may be focused on accessing the local community for leisure activities like trampolining, swimming and meals out.

What do I need to make a real difference?
A proactive attitude and positive outlook on support will take you most of the way! Our team is built on our GROW values. In summary, we want people who are G oal focused, who can channel this into achieving positive outcomes for our service users. Encourages people's individuality and be inclusive in providing support with R espect for the individual choices. Can take the lead and use their initiative to take O wnership of solving a problem or creating a positive experience. Understands the importance of W orking together as a team with open communication to achieve a shared outcome.
There are some essential criteria for this role such as having full driving licence and access to your own vehicle with business insurance. At least a level 2, and willing to work towards level 3, NVQ in health and social care is required for the role. A good working knowledge with Autism and learning disabilities are essential, as is experience in leading a team.
Our training programs incorporate full support using a mixture in-person and online training with options to explore further with NVQ's in health and social care at various levels.
All of our team will need to go through a number of pre employment checks including comprehensive work history reference checks, criminal records and barring lists via a DBS certificate and essential rights to works checks. Please note we do not offer sponsorship nor transfer of sponsor.

We strive to strike the right balance between the needs of the service and those delivering it, with your availability and commitments considered. Our Team leaders our full time roles at 37.5 hours, and typically have shift patterns between 8:00 to 18:00, working 5 days a week, with 1 in 4 weekends. The role will also see you playing an active role in the On Call rota for out of hours support.
As a Team leader, you have opportunity to pick up additional hours and sleep in which can further boost your income.
