Intervention Teaching Assistant - Primary School, Smethwick Full-Time | Immediate Start | KS2 & Phonics Support We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and diverse primary school in Smethwick. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting pupils across Key Stage 2, delivering phonics interventions, and working with children who have additional needs. ⭐ About the Role Your work will involve a blend of small‑group support, phonics delivery, and 1:1 assistance. Key responsibilities include: KS2 Group Support Providing targeted support to pupils who benefit from additional guidance in core subjects, helping them build confidence and secure key skills. Phonics Delivery (Little Wandle) Leading phonics sessions using the Little Wandle programme with pupils who require extra reading support across lower KS2. 1:1 SEND Support Offering consistent, nurturing support to a pupil with complex needs, helping them regulate, engage, and access learning. Intervention Work Running structured intervention sessions to boost reading fluency, decoding skills, and overall literacy progress.
