Role Overview:
As an Internal Service Support Engineer, you will play a key role supporting the technical sales, estimation, and design functions within the HVAC division. Your focus will be on assisting with the specification, quotation, and ongoing support of heating, ventilation, and cooling systems across diverse building types. This hands-on role offers the chance to work alongside experienced engineers and industry professionals while gaining valuable exposure to a wide array of HVAC technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with the design, quotation, and specification of HVAC systems, including MVHR, ductwork, pipework, heat recovery, chilled water, heating, and cooling equipment.
* Support equipment and materials selection, ensuring compliance with energy efficiency, sustainability standards, and building regulations.
* Participate in site visits to support surveys, inspections, and commissioning activities.
* Prepare technical reports, tender documentation, schedules, and quotations.
* Liaise effectively with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and manufacturers to ensure smooth project delivery.
* Stay up-to-date with industry standards and developments, including ASHRAE, CIBSE, LEED, and BREEAM.
Candidate Profile:
* Basic understanding of HVAC systems and their role in building services design.
* Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to collaborate within a team and eagerness to learn from experienced professionals.
* Familiarity with both mechanical and electrical components of HVAC systems.
* Fluent in English with a full driving license.
* Driven, ambitious, with a strong sense of pride in quality workmanship.
* Willingness and availability to travel to the UK and Europe for manufacturer training.
* Ability to manage diaries efficiently and produce timely reports.
Desirable Qualifications and Skills:
* Degree or qualification in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
* Experience or internship in HVAC design or building services.
* Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Hevacomp, IES VE, or HAP.
* Knowledge of environmental systems and energy-efficient design principles.
