To support the production and assembly of high-integrity ductwork, pipework, and associated systems in a controlled factory environment. The Multiskilled Operative will work across various production functions, ensuring work is completed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency, in line with project specifications and manufacturing schedules. What you'll be doing Operate and maintain a variety of fabrication and assembly equipment (e.g., cutting machines, welding gear, forming tools, pressure testing rigs). Read and interpret technical drawings, manufacturing specifications, and work instructions to fabricate and assemble products accurately. Undertake tasks across multiple disciplines including: Ductwork fabrication (e.g., rectangular and circular sections) Pipework preparation and assembly (e.g., carbon steel, stainless steel) Mechanical fitting and assembly Basic welding and tack welding (as qualified) Quality control checks and documentation Carry out pressure and leak testing (hydrostatic, pneumatic) where required. Assist with the rigging and movement of large components and modules using lifting equipment. Support lean manufacturing principles, including 5S, continuous improvement, and waste reduction. Maintain high standards of health & safety and housekeeping at all times. Record and report non-conformities and contribute to root cause analysis. Work collaboratively with engineering, QA, and logistics teams to ensure smooth production flow. Take part in training and cross-skilling to enhance team flexibility and capability.
