AV Senior Engineer

Role details
Contract Type: Full‑time, Permanent
Salary: Highly competitive (dependent on experience), plus company benefits
Interview Process: 2 stages (Virtual and Face‑to‑face)
Hours: Monday – Friday; 40 hours working shifts covering 7am‑4pm and 10am‑7pm
Key responsibilities
* Reactive support calls on the client sites, along with planned preventative maintenance visits
* Daily room checks and explanation of identified faults to the client
* Fault finding of audio visual and video conferencing systems to a high level
* Work collaboratively on troubleshooting and fault fixing, utilising the wider team and Kinly resources
* Provide event support to our client on a regular basis
* Running AV events, including pre‑event testing of audio, wireless microphone battery levels, etc.
* Be the primary contact for local and global event coordination and liaise with client for large events to understand their requirements
* Attend pre‑production meetings required for any scheduled special events
* Own the event experiences for the meeting host and attendees
* Video/audio conference set‑up and support
* Site certification of all new and relocated video conference systems
Skills & experience
* Knowledge of collaboration platforms such as Polycom, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google
* Ability to operate videoconference hardware (Microsoft Teams, Webex, Poly, Logi, etc.) and troubleshoot any potential issues related to audio feedback, no video, etc.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, UC PCs, Polycom, Logitech, Crestron Flex VC solutions, Biamp Tesira, Q‑SYS, and Extron
* Good understanding of computer software and hardware systems
* Networking knowledge to fault‑find audio and video conference networks, e.g., Dante audio and multicast video streams
* Understanding of both digital/analogue audio and video signals (HDMI, DisplayPort, DVI, composite)
* Experience with new and emerging technologies including LED display solutions and video wall processors
* Enthusiasm to identify knowledge gaps and expand expertise with training and certifications, with a view of CSI
* Understanding of Crestron software such as Toolbox and SIMPL Windows
* Understanding of Biamp DSP programming
* Professional appearance and attitude
* Willingness to undertake security screening (BPSS & SC)
