We’re looking for a QBI QMS Coordinator to help shape and maintain our Quality Management System, ensuring our products, processes and services meet exacting standards and regulatory requirements. Reporting to the QBI Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our quality framework - developing and implementing procedures, driving internal audits, and transforming data into actionable insights. If you thrive in a dynamic manufacturing environment and bring solid expertise in ISO standards, data analysis, document control, and root cause methodologies, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure all activities are carried out in full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, company policies and procedures; proactively report any unsafe acts or conditions using the Near Miss system.
* Support and assist the QBI function to maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS), certified under ISO 9001:2015 as a minimum (knowledge of EN9100, IATF or ISO17025 would be beneficial).
* Develop and implement QMS documentation, including quality manuals, procedures and supporting materials to establish a robust framework for quality management.
* Ensure ongoing compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements and customer expectations.
* Monitor and audit quality performance by tracking KPIs, conducting internal audits, and identifying areas for improvement.
* Investigate quality issues, identify root causes and drive effective corrective and preventive actions.
* Champion a culture of continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance processes and overall quality performance.
* Deliver training and guidance on quality procedures and support colleagues across the business on quality-related matters.
* Collect, analyse and present quality data for regular management reporting, using tools such as Power BI, Qlik and visual dashboards.
* Liaise with document and departmental owners to resolve overdue or inactive documents and ensure all controlled documents are current and compliant.
* Follow up on audit findings and non-conformance actions, working closely with the QBI team to ensure timely resolution.
* Manage and oversee document control, including updates to customer-defined standards, ISO standards, DEF-STAN and others as required.
* Support the calibration programme to maintain equipment compliance.
* Administer user accounts and maintain distribution lists within Q-Pulse.
* Provide administrative and analytical support to the QBI Manager and QBI Engineers by working with CEUK business systems such as Q-Pulse, MRP, ERP, and reporting tools.
* Prepare quality data and documentation into presentations for formal Quality System Management Reviews with senior leadership.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Minimum HNC qualification, ideally in Engineering, Quality or Statistics.
* Solid, practical experience of Quality Management Systems and Quality Assurance within a manufacturing environment.
* Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification.
* Strong numeracy skills and an analytical mindset.
* Good understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
* Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
* Proven expertise in problem solving and root cause analysis techniques (5 Whys, Ishikawa, Kaizen, Gemba).
* Skilled in technical writing and delivering clear, effective presentations.
* Excellent IT proficiency, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, MS Flow, Sway, Q-Pulse, and Minitab.
* Experience managing and maintaining database systems (e.g. Q-Pulse, MRP, ERP).
* Previous experience working in a fast-paced, high-hazard industrial environment.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Brings a personal commitment to safety, quality, and environmental standards in everything they do.
* Has a proactive mindset, with a strong bias for action—spotting potential issues early and coordinating effective solutions.
* Continuously looks for new ideas and opportunities that create real business value.
* Builds and nurtures effective relationships across teams to drive performance improvements.
* Understands company policies and operating procedures, ensuring full site and organisational compliance.
* Possesses a solid grasp of quality management principles and standards, such as ISO 9001.
* Experienced in using quality control methodologies and tools to maintain and improve standards.
* Demonstrates excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, underpinned by curiosity and rigour.
* Communicates confidently and collaborates effectively at all levels of the business.
* Skilled in using quality management systems and tools to capture, analyse and share data-driven insights.
* Works well both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
* Shows meticulous attention to detail and a clear commitment to accuracy and excellence.
