Security Officer – Security Officer- Part Time/ Weekend Shift

Work location: Texas Health Mansfield Hospital: 2300 Lone Star Rd Mansfield, TX 76063
Work hours: Part Time (24 Hour) Weekend Shift; Saturday and Sunday from 1830-0630
What You’ll Do
* Patrol buildings and clinics for unlocked secured areas for after-hour entry.
* Lock and open doors according to schedules.
* Provide individual and group escorts to and from parking areas.
* Identify and remove unauthorized individuals from property.
* Maintain compliance with Texas Health Police policies.
* Pursue and detain persons involved in criminal activity.
* Fill out incident/offense report forms and compose narratives.
* Utilize critical thinking skills and provide the appropriate level of force for the situation.
* Respond to and activate the appropriate emergency response code.
* Interact with and provide assistance to Police, Fire, EMS and other emergency staff as required.

Qualifications
Education
* High School Diploma or equivalent required
* Associate’s Degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Security, or closely related field is preferred
Experience
* De-escalation and customer service experience preferred
Licenses and Certifications
* DL - Drivers License (Class C and insurable) upon hire required
* ACPI - Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually 30 days required
* NCSO - Non-Commissioned Security Officer Texas Private Security Level 2 (not required if have Level 3) 120 days required
* CSO - Commissioned Security Officer Texas Private Security Level 3 (2 attempts permitted). Biannual recertification. 120 days required
* TASER Certification - Complete Course & Certification (2 attempts permitted). Annual recertification. 120 days required
