Highway Maintenance Engineer / Project Supervisor – Doncaster – £45ph Umbrella
An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a growing highways team following increased capital investment in preventative highway maintenance programmes.
We are seeking an experienced Highway Maintenance Engineer / Project Supervisor with strong civil engineering knowledge and hands-on experience in preventative treatments including surface dressing, micro-asphalt, and slurry surfacing.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage multiple concurrent highway maintenance schemes
* Supervise Clerks of Works and oversee contractors on site
* Ensure specification compliance, quality standards, and programme delivery
* Make sound engineering decisions relating to highways maintenance works
* Coordinate preventative maintenance activities across live projects
Essential Experience
* Preventative highway maintenance experience (surface dressing, micro-asphalt, slurry surfacing)
* Strong civil engineering and contractor management background
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Experience overseeing quality and specification adherence
Desirable
* Level 3 Civil Engineering qualification or equivalent experience
* Local authority/highways maintenance background
* GIS familiarity and standard IT skills
Location: Doncaster
Rate: £45 per hour Umbrella
