About the Role
Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We are on the lookout for passionate Data Engineers specializing in Structured Cabling to join our expanding team. In this exciting role, you will:
* Conduct surveys and install copper and fibre cabling.
* Manage containment, termination, testing, labelling, and documentation for structured cabling systems.
* Work closely with our Assistant Data Engineers and Apprentices, fostering a collaborative team environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity to dive into a variety of technologies, including Wi-Fi Access Points and Smart Hands services. You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality installations while mentoring and guiding your team to success.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Lead with a strong focus on Health and Safety, ensuring a safe working environment.
* Adhere to all company policies and procedures, exceeding client expectations.
* Provide leadership and support to Trainees, Assistant Data Engineers, and Apprentices.
* Maintain accurate records of materials, deliveries, and project stock.
* Deliver timely and precise internal and customer project reporting.
* Monitor quality and productivity, maintaining daily site records.
* Build and maintain positive relationships with customers for future opportunities.
* Ensure compliance with internal and client specifications and statutory requirements.
What We’re Looking For
* Experience in installing Structured Cabling Systems.
* Knowledge of Voice Cabling Systems.
* Proficiency in using Fluke Analysers.
* Ability to troubleshoot faults in structured cabling and standalone Voice Systems.
* Capability to work from construction drawings.
* Strong teamwork and initiative skills.
* Professional and informative customer interaction.
* Willingness to travel and adapt to customer needs.
Additional Requirements
* Security Clearance (to be conducted by our vetting team).
* Full UK Driving Licence.
Preferred Qualifications
* Health and Safety Training (e.g., First Aid at Work).
* UKATA (CAT A) Asbestos Awareness.
* ECS/CSCS Card.
* Manual Handling Certification.
* Working at Height Certification.
* IOSH Working Safely Certification.
* IPAF Certification.
* Certified Network Cable Installer (CNCI) Accreditation.
