What you will do as Head of Maths
* Lead and inspiring a team of educators to deliver exceptional teaching, learning, and assessment across a diverse curriculum.
* Lead the colleges maths provision across all levels - from Functional Skills to GCSE - ensuring high quality teaching, learning and outcomes.
* Drive curriculum innovation thats agile, inclusive, and aligned with the needs of learners, employers, and the wider community.
* Coach and developing staff, setting clear targets, and ensuring continuous improvement is more than just a buzzword. Inspire and support your team of educators through coaching, development and clear, purposeful leadership.
* Own the numbers - from performance data to recruitment targets - and using them to make smart, strategic decisions.
* Build bridges with employers, stakeholders, and partners to ensure your faculty is future-ready and employer-connected.
* Teach too - because you believe in leading by example and staying close to the classroom.
* Drive curriculum innovation thats inclusive, responsive to learner needs and aligned with employer expectations.
Experience/Qualifications of Head of Maths
* A degree, a teaching qualification, and a solid track record of leadership in post-16 education.
* A sharp eye for quality, a head for data, and a heart for people.
* Experience managing budgets, resources, and change - without losing sight of the bigger picture.
* The ability to inspire, challenge, and support a team to be their best.
* A genuine passion for education and a belief in its power to transform lives.
