STADA UK Thornton & Ross Senior Analytical Scientist

Imagine leading the analytical charge for a portfolio of beloved consumer healthcare brands, including Savlon, Covonia, Cetraben and Oilatum, as we conquer new global markets. We're seeking a visionary Senior Analytical Scientist to spearhead NPD and EPD, manage a talented team, and define the future of our OTC and Derma innovation pipelines. How You Will Make an Impact
Lead Global Innovation: Drive NPD/EPD projects from concept to completion, shaping the future of OTC and Derma products.
Pioneer Analytical Excellence: Develop and validate cutting-edge analytical methods & testing new technologies for diverse product formats (cosmetics, medicines, medical devices).
Ensure Product Integrity: Oversee stability assessments and generate critical data for robust claims support.
Be the Analytical Authority: Act as the R&D's SME, interpreting complex data for strategic development and stability.
Lead & Influence: Manage a dedicated analytical team and serve as the key scientific liaison across departments and with 3rd party suppliers.
What We Are Looking For
Mandatory:
A relevant analytically focused Scientific degree
Experience of High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) analysis, method development and validation.
Experience in analysis of semi-solid and liquid dosage forms.
Experience in setting analytical specifications and designing stability protocols.
Excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to work effectively cross functionally
An analytical mindset and ability to solve technical problems
Desirable:
Experience of working across multiple regulatory classifications including medicines, medical devices and cosmetics.
Previous line management responsibilities, with experience in coaching/mentoring more junior staff.
Experience in evaluating sensorial profiles of topical products including texture analysis and rheology evaluation.
Knowledge of In-vitro release testing for topical licensed medicines.
