We are a registered children's care home, we have homes in Carmarthen, Drefach and St Clears, we currently have multiple jobs available in St Clears.

We are looking for a caring, compassionate Child Care Worker. We are committed to providing the highest standard of care. Our goal is to enhance the lives of every child that lives in our home.

If you are a patient, caring individual with a background in child care, we look forward to hearing from you about these positions.

***** UK Driving License Essential*****

***** At least 21 years of age as you need to be 4 years older than our eldest resident *****

***** £13.00 per hour starting wage *****

***** Not currently looking at sponsoring employees or offering relocation packages*****

Immediate start available. (Provided on DBS update service)

Training

You may experience challenging behaviour as part of your role, we will provide you with the training required to carry out your role confidently.

If you are not qualified, but feel you would be a great addition to our team please get in touch as full training will be provided.

Full training will be provided upon employment, training will include-

* AWIF (All Wales Induction Framework)

* AMBeR (Behaviour Management Programme)
* Anaphylaxis Awareness and EpiPen administration.
* COSHH
* Drugs/Alcohol awareness
* Emergency First Aid at Work.
* First Aid at Work.
* Fire Awareness
* Food Hygiene
* Health & Safety awareness.
* Infection Control
* Medication administration
* Mental Health Awareness
* Pediatric First Aid..
* Safeguarding (Safeguarding of Vulnerable Children)
* Sexual Exploitation
* Suicide and Self Harm Awareness.

There will also be ongoing training as your role develops.

Day to day responsibilities -

*Supervise and monitor the safety of children inside the home and community.

*Prepare meals and organize mealtimes and snacks for children.

*Help children keep good hygiene.

*Develop a cleaning routine throughout the day/night that keeps all of the interactive areas sanitary and safe.

*Promoting positive behaviours and outcomes.

*Taking young people on activities.

*Taking young people to meetings and contact.

*Driving License essential - role requires staff to take young people to appointments/meetings and activities.

As part of the role a DBS check will be carried out on all applicants as required by law. Please let us know if you're signed up to the DBS update service.

If you are on the update DBS service this will be beneficial.

Flexibility needed as shifts will include days, nights and weekends.

Working Pattern and hours

Days - 07:30 - 20:30

Nights - 19:00 - 08:00

Week hours

Week hours

Average of 45 hours per week.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 39 – 52 per week
