About the Role
As a Mechanical Engineer you will collaborate with various engineering teams to create detailed designs, plans, specifications, and installation designs of complete mechanical systems and HVAC solutions for Data Centres. You will be part of an employee‑owned organisation that offers many opportunities for career advancement.

We are looking for a personable self‑starter who projects a positive ‘can‑do’ professional attitude at all times, maintains good working relationships, collaborates across disciplines, works under pressure, handles a varied workload, and meets tight deadlines while maintaining the highest level of technical excellence.
Responsibilities
* Agree design duties with your Project Manager and Office Principal / Team Leaders.
* Carry out engineering concept design through to detailed design.
* Liaise with the design team to co‑coordinate detailed designs and agree manufacturers and samples.
* Maintain good client and design team relationships to achieve high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
* Assist colleagues with identifying and implementing your personal training/CPD requirements and help develop working practices in the company.
* Implement and manage tasks in accordance with QA systems and company procedures on all projects (our systems are certified to ISO9001 and ISO14001).
* Assist with CAD resource requirements.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services or a relevant subject.
* Experience of mechanical systems, HVAC engineering and multiple levels of resilience.
* Previous experience in mechanical system design for Data Center/Data Centre projects Is ESSENTIAL.
* Experience in commercial or institutional facilities.
* Computer experience using MS Office, Trane TRACE or similar software, manufacturer selection software.
* Previous experience within a design consultancy or engineering consulting firm.
* Skills in project managing on‑going jobs with limited supervision are desirable.
* An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee‑owned culture is a must.
