Job summary Further to recent growth and development within our Clinical Leadership Team, an exciting opportunity as arisen for a Clinical Team Leadto join us on a full time, permanent basis. This role is suitable for an experienced practicing clinical practitioner wishing to take a next step in their career. Main duties of the job Reporting to the Head of Clinical Workforce, you will work in partnership with the Operational and Clinical Management Teams to provide seamless leadership, continuity of service, effective communication and support service improvement projects. The post holder will ensure high standards of care and provide clinical and non-clinical support to the Prescribing Team comprising a diverse range blend of healthcare professionals. Clinical leadership of staff will also take place as required both in and out of hours to enable supervision and support to staff within the clinical setting. This enables the post holder to have a working knowledge of all clinical and non-clinical scenarios to manage and develop the Prescribing Team expertly and effectively. The post holder will also assist with the operational appointment, induction, and training of all new Clinicians to ensure that every new member of staff receives a formal induction in the systems and processes adopted by HealthHero before working independently within our Urgent Care service. Your key roles and responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Working as a prescribing clinical expert and role model for delivery of care at the highest level and be prepared for ongoing personal development. Working closely with the Clinical Leadership Team and take responsibility for managing the Supporting the Clinical Leadership colleagues to ensure effective line management of the team. Supporting the retention and recruitment of staff. Assisting with the management of staff absence in accordance with policy. Undertaking 1:1 meetings and appraisals with team members in line with the appraisal policy. Supporting with the identification and planning of development opportunities within the role. Monitoring team performance both informally and formally through personal development plans and through compliance with key performance indicators. Support Clinical Governance processes via regular call and notes monitoring. This involves undertaking regular audits of clinical work against a set of criteria to include the clarity and accuracy of documentation and assessment of standards of good clinical practice. About you You will be a registered nurse, paramedic, or other allied health professional, with a non-medical prescribing qualification in the context of a broad scope of practice with extensive experience within a Primary/Urgent Care setting. Skills and experience Ability to work autonomously both in-hours and out of hours. Achieved an MSc in Advanced Practice. Training and experience of physical assessment and clinical reasoning with patients of all ages (including paediatrics). Ability to demonstrate a wide knowledge base and competency in clinical practice. Understanding of the emergency care pathways. Knowledge of primary health care issues affecting a diverse local population. Completion of a clinical reasoning module e.g. PADRIP or equivalent.
