Key Duties & Responsibilities
As Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our kitchen and consistently high standards of food. Responsibilities include:
* Supporting the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen management and leadership.
* Leading the team in the Head Chef's absence, ensuring service runs seamlessly.
* Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to the highest standard.
* Assisting in menu planning, development and innovation.
* Monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies and ensuring cost controls are met.
* Upholding strict food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards at all times.
* Training, motivating and mentoring junior team members to encourage growth and skill development.
* Working closely with front-of-house to deliver a smooth and professional service for every guest.
* Ensuring all kitchen equipment is maintained, clean and in safe working order.
* Contributing to a positive, passionate and professional workplace culture.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
* Has proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong experience as a Senior Chef de Partie looking to step up.
* Brings passion for fresh, seasonal food and creativity in presentation.
