This is an exciting and challenging role as a Engineering Team Lead (Nuclear and Energy) in a growing team of 130+ Civil & Structural Engineers and Designers. Our department covers a range of projects from Concept Studies through to Detailed Design provide a variety of interesting work. Industries can range across Water, Transportation, Energy, Nuclear and Defence
Working in a multi-disciplinary team delivering infrastructure projects. Leading a team of Civil and Structural Engineers providing technical guidance and support to a team delivering work in the Energy and Nuclear sectors. Responsible for the delivery of civil and structural work across multiple projects providing bid, estimating and technical input to projects.
A requirement to undertake occasional site visits, attend design reviews and client meetings. Provide support and guidance to team members to facilitate capability and professional development. Challenge yourself and others to deliver value engineering design solutions. Be an effective, confident communicator with our diverse client portfolio.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
As a client facing Engineering Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:
* Managing a team of 40 Engineers and Graduates including resource allocation, team utilisation, competency and performance management.
* Interfacing effectively with project management functions, other engineering disciplines and construction teams.
* Developing engineering and design execution plans for bids and projects.
* Providing time/cost estimates for energy and nuclear sector projects.
* Ensure that engineering work is being completed in accordance with relevant codes, standards and company/client procedures.
* Maintaining the required technical quality of work produced by the team.
* Contributing towards project work with engineering analysis, calculations and reporting.
* Ensuring all assigned work is carried out in compliance with agreed budget and schedule and project risks/changes are identified and accurately controlled.
* Providing engineering input to design, checks and advice, including innovating, developing new solutions and contribute towards value engineering.
* Leading the development of knowledge and skills within the team, including assisting in the training and technical development of designers and apprentices.
* Communicating and collaborating with clients, projects and sites to promote the C&S engineering team capability.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Essential
* Extensive experience in energy/infrastructure at all stages of the project lifecycle.
* Good knowledge of design working practices and requirements of the discipline across energy/nuclear industries.
* Extensive knowledge of UK legislation and standards and CDM implementation
* Awareness of risk identification, quantification, management and of HSE requirements
Desirable
* Experience with optioneering assessments, defining scopes of work, supporting estimates and business development.
* Greenfield and Brownfield project experience within energy/nuclear section.
* Experience in leading teams and supporting more junior engineers.
* Knowledge and experience of common forms of contracts.
* Project Management experience
Qualifications
Essential
* Minimum BEng Civil or Structural Engineering
* Chartered Engineer with the ICE or IStructE
* CSCS
* Eligible for security clearance
Desirable
* A Project Management qualification
