Our full-service legal client is looking for an experienced and motivated Legal Administrator to provide support to their Edinburgh based Real Estate team. What you’ll do Type correspondence and documents, including handling digital dictation and manuscript amendments Run legal document comparisons Draft and, where appropriate, send letters, faxes and emails Scan, photocopy and engross documents Handle confidential information with discretion Manage partner diaries and book meetings Arrange partner travel bookings Communicate with clients in person and by telephone Prepare Land Register of Scotland forms, LBTT returns and other administrative documents for Real Estate fee earners Deliver and collect documents as required Prepare forms and administer title deeds and wallets Travel between offices when necessary Assist with setting up and maintaining systems and data resources for legal administration Manage month-end and year-end billing for allocated fee earners, including preparing draft fee notes and issuing finalised fee notes to clients Complete cash entry forms Prepare forms for new clients and matters Carry out client verification procedures Create new matters in iManage and file documents in the Worksite document management system Support implementation of new processes and systems as introduced by the organisation What you’ll need Proven experience as a legal secretary within a legal environment, including document production Excellent communication skills with a professional approach to clients, partners, and colleagues Fast and accurate audio and copy typing Proficiency in email communication Strong knowledge of track changes and mail merge Confident in using office equipment (photocopiers, scanners, etc.) Competent in Excel, including spreadsheets and mail merge Ability to work collaboratively and take direction from all levels of legal staff, from partners to trainees Pleasant telephone manner and ability to assist clients with queries What you’ll receive Excellent salary and benefit package Hybrid working conditions What’s next?
