HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver – Appleby Magna, DerbyshirePeople Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver to join our well-established client based in Appleby Magna, Derbyshire .This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, consistent weekday shifts, and genuine opportunities for long-term progression.This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver, LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver, Shunter Driver, Yard Shunter, TUG Driver, or Articulated Lorry Driver.Shifts• Monday – Friday• AM Shift: 06:00 – 14:30• PM Shift: 14:30 – 23:00Rates of Pay• AM Shift: £19.23 per hour• PM Shift: £20.01 per hourBenefitsAs an HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver you will receive:• Excellent hourly rates• Ongoing and reliable work• Weekly pay• Training provided• Immediate starts availableDay-to-Day DutiesAs an HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver your duties will include, but not be limited to:• Shunting 45ft and double-deck trailers onto allocated bays• Operating and manoeuvring Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently within the yard• Completing daily yard and vehicle checks in line with site rules and health & safety guidelines• Ensuring all trailers and loads are positioned and secured correctly• Adhering to traffic laws, site regulations, and company procedures• Communicating effectively with transport and warehouse teams using radio communication• Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements promptlyEssential SkillsAs an HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver you will need:• A minimum of one year's Class 1 driving, shunting, and TUG experience• A valid UK Category CE Licence• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements• No major endorsements• A valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card• Excellent punctuality and timekeeping• Good understanding of UK traffic laws and regulations• Strong communication skillsDesirable Experience• Experience working within a fast-paced yard or logistics environmentTraining Provided• Driver assessment required prior to start• Ongoing industry-related training and supportApplyIf you are ready to take on this opportunity as an HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver based in Appleby Magna, apply today or contact our People Solutions Tamworth Branch for more information.People Solutions do not charge candidates any fees or request deposits at any stage of the recruitment process.TPBN1_UKTJ
