CNC TURNER Programmer Setter Operator (Fanuc) COMPANY DESCRIPTION, PROFILE AND SCOPE OF ROLE Our client is a world class, long established and growing engineering/manufacturing business, providing precision parts to multiple sectors including aerospace and automotive. Due to continued growth, we are recruiting a permanent CNC Programmer / Setter Operator), (Fanuc / Mazatrol (Primarily Fanuc). Machining centres include: Doosan Puma TT with sub spindle & twin turret / Doosan Puma SY with sub spindle / Doosan Lynx with Tailstock / Mazak Quickturn Sub Spindle KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Develop and optimise CNC programs at the machine or offline using advanced CAM software to translate engineering designs into machine instructions. * Utilise cutting-edge programming techniques to maximise efficiency and quality. * Perform detailed setup of CNC machines, selecting the best tooling, accurate fixture preparation, and calibration to ensure exact specifications are met. * Manage setups for complex and high-precision parts, requiring meticulous attention to detail. * Follow rigorous quality control measures to verify that all parts meet stringent quality standards. * Use advanced measuring instruments to inspect finished parts, ensuring they adhere to tight tolerances. * Diagnose and resolve machining issues, optimising processes to reduce downtime and enhance productivity. * Support problem-solving efforts involving machining challenges, providing expert insights to maintenance and engineering teams. * Assist with training for CNC operators, enhancing their skills in machine operation, safety procedures, and quality control. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES * Demonstrable experience in a similar CNC turning, programming and setting * Understanding geometric tolerances & surface finish requirements * Familiar with the selection of correct turning inserts and grades * Able to Interpret drawings & tolerances in metric and imperial sizes * Should possess Fanuc programming experience * Able to use all handheld precision measuring equipment * Organised and able to work to deadlines * Self-motivated, reliable and punctual USEFUL BUT NOT ESSENTIAL * Mazak programming experience * CMM experience – operating/using * Offline programming using CAD/CAM software * Use of live tooling and multi axis machining DETAILS OF PACKAGE Permanent Early/Late Shift Rotation – Two weeks on each shift (Basic 39 Hour Week) Overtime @ T1/2 Basic Salary approximately £39,000 to £46,800 (Depending on experience) OT. Early Shift: 06:00 to 14:00 Monday to Friday. Up to £21PH (Depending on experience Overtime) Late Shift: 14:00 to 24:00 (Monday to Thursday) Up to £25.20PH (Depending on Experience Overtime)
