We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated individual to play a key part in the business operations of Wyre Forest District Council’s operational services. We are seeking an enthusiastic Business and Finance Support Officer to join our team and support the vital work of the Community and Environment (C&E) section at Green Street Depot in Kidderminster.
You will support the C&E section by:
* Providing financial support to C&E line managers
* Liaising with the Finance Department on budgets, year-end accounting, internal and annual audits
* Working closely with the Commercial Manager to develop services and ensuring a high-quality customer journey
* Providing administrative support to C&E section when required
You will also take responsibility for line-managing the Business Support Unit. We’re looking for someone with:
* A strong background in finance and business administration
* With excellent communication and customer service skills
* An approach that will support cross-departmental working and collaboration
* The ability to lead their team and ensure a high standard of services
* GCSEs (4 and above) including Maths and English
* This position requires a Basic DBS check
This a full-time, permanent position at Salary Band 4 with an annual salary of £33,854-£36,638, and a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on the services delivered to residents and customer of Wyre Forest.
