GSL Education are currently recruiting SEND Teachers for both primary and secondary settings across Gainsborough. Whether you’re looking for flexible day-to-day roles or longer-term placements, we have a range of opportunities to suit your experience, subject expertise, and availability.
This role is ideal for individuals who are committed to creating inclusive learning environments that meet the needs of all learners. You will play a key role in delivering tailored lessons, supporting individual progress, and working closely with support staff and families to ensure each child reaches their full potential.
Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teacher Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver personalised lessons that meet the learning needs of pupils with SEND.
* Differentiate teaching strategies and resources to support a range of abilities and needs.
* Create a nurturing, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted interventions where necessary.
* Collaborate with SENCOs, support staff, and external professionals.
* Contribute to EHCP reviews and maintain accurate records and reports.
SEND Teacher Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification in the UK.
* Experience teaching students with special educational needs (in either primary or secondary settings).
* Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
* A genuine passion for SEND education and inclusive teaching practices.
* Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices.
* Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
