Support Worker – Mental Health Services – Bristol and South Glos (multiple locations)

Bristol, UK

Job Description

£13.53 per hour + excellent benefits

37.5 hours per week, part time hours considered

Please note - due to internal redeployment, priority for this role will be given to staff at risk.

It is an essential requirement of the role that you hold a full, valid UK driving licence and can use your own vehicle to collect and return the people we support and help them to access the community. Mileage is paid at 45p per mile. Please bear in mind that you will need to be covered by the relevant car insurance to use your vehicle for the role.

We aim to achieve just one goal when supporting people with enduring mental health needs living in the community – giving the people we support every chance to live their best life! Whether that’s through gaining more independence, learning a new skill, attending education, or securing their own paid job, we work with every individual to make sure that they can live with maximum choice and involvement.

This is an interesting and varied role, which would suit a confident, self‑motivated person who enjoys meeting people and can use their initiative to identify and capitalise on opportunities for development.

We are a small team who support people who live independently in their own homes, in a shared environment or in their own flats. This role requires working across multiple services within the Bristol and South Gloucestershire area, including Fishponds, Downend, Southville and other locations in our outreach services.

Shift patterns vary and are flexible around what the individuals would like support with each week. Support hours include some evenings and weekends and lone working will also be a requirement of the role, so being self‑motivated and able to use your initiative is crucial.
