We need strong relationship-building, influencing, and negotiation skills to provide technical and professional leadership to the architecture community. We need proficiency in matrix working to develop models and plans that drive delivery of our business strategy and improve business performance. We need understanding and experience of commercial contracts, procurement, and sourcing strategies. We need experience leading enterprise, technical, or solution architecture at a senior level within a complex digital or technology environment. We need the ability to translate business goals and future needs into architecture capability and design outcomes. Responsibilities: We will lead a team of Lead Enterprise, Technical, and Solution Architects to deliver a strategically aligned architecture service. We will provide technical leadership for the development, operation, and ongoing improvement of complex digital services serving millions of users. We will develop, own, and communicate our enterprise architecture strategy, plans, and governance. We will ensure effective controls are in place for internal delegation, audit, control, and compliance. We will provide timely reports and advice to relevant committees and boards to support decision-making. We will work collaboratively with senior management and cross-functional experts across our organisation to create or review target architecture. We will contribute to the development and delivery of new and evolving operating models. We will use business architecture to inform, shape, and define strategic business design. We will support design, build, and delivery activities to meet user needs and business goals. We will translate future needs into statements of capability and identify cost-effective technology solutions. We will operate effectively with multidisciplinary teams of digital and data professionals, policy experts, and service teams throughout the change lifecycle. This is a permanent Chief Architect role based in Bristol, Swansea, Leeds, Nottingham, Newcastle, Oldham, Birmingham, or Yeading, with a salary of £69,501 to £98,061 per annum.
