Overview
A dynamic and detail-oriented Finance Officer is required to support financial operations in a busy and weing educational setting. This role is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to managing school finances and reporting obligations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Oversee effective financial management, including budget setting and monitoring.
2. Maintain accurate records of ie, expenditure, and financial transactions.
3. Process invoices, orders, and payments efficiently.
4. Prepare and monitor school meal accounts.
5. Support statutory financial reporting andpliance.
6. Collaborate with senior leadership andernors to provide financial insights.
7. Utilize Google Workspace and other IT tools for financial documentation.
8. Operate SIMS and FMS systems (training available if required).
Essential Requirements
9. Experience in financial administration or bookkeeping.
10. Strong IT skills, including proficiency in spreadsheets and cloud-based tools.
11. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
12. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
13. Strongmunication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable Attributes
14. Familiarity with school finance systems (SIMS, FMS).
15. Experience in an educational or public sector setting.
16. Knowledge of statutory financial reporting requirements.

Contract Details
20. Hours: 15 hours per week (Monday–Friday, term time only)
21. Contract: Fixed-term for 1 year, with potential for extension
22. Start Date: As soon as possible
23. Salary: Band F, Scale Point 11–18 (£24,612 to £27,030 pro-rata)
