Harbour Healthcare are recruiting for a Regional Trainer to support and train our new and existing Care Teams across the Northeast.
Our Care teams are the superheroes of the business, supporting our residents and providing peace of mind to families their loved ones are in the best of care.
As a member of the Learning and Development team, they will be contributing to maintaining and driving up the safety and quality of care delivered across the homes and collaborating with a range of stakeholders internally and externally. They will facilitate and deliver training, coaching and assessments in a range of mandatory and required subjects. The Regional Trainer/Coordinator will be promoting the company values, current best practice, company policies and procedures. They will aim to embed excellence in the employees knowledge, skills and behaviours.
Key activities and responsibilities:
1. Responsible for contributing to the development delivery and evaluation of training programs across multiple locations, ensuring that employees receive the necessary skills and knowledge to perform effectively.
2. Collaborate with subject matter experts, Care Home teams, Operational and Quality and others to ensure that programs are tailored to the specific needs of different services.
3. Training Delivery: Organize and conduct training sessions, workshops, and seminars across various locations. This may involve traveling to different sites to facilitate training or coordinate with other trainers.
4. Report back to the Learning and development department on feedback and evaluation from employees and managers to identify ways to improve or identify skills gaps.
5. Support in house/home-based trainers and where requested, carry out supportive observation of training delivery in the home.
6. Prompt and support professional development activities such as apprenticeships.
7. Participate in new initiatives.
8. Communicate training schedules, updates, and resources to ensure all employees are informed and engaged.
9. Participate in monitoring compliance with required and mandatory training
10. Accurate record keeping.
11. Be willing to maintain and develop own knowledge and skills
Qualifications and skills:
12. Appropriate qualification in teaching in the lifelong learning sector or similar (or working towards)
13. Certification in the delivery of a range of mandatory/required subjects and willingness to develop these within the scope of the job.
14. Experience: Previous experience in training coordination or a similar role is required. Regional or multi-site training initiatives is beneficial.
15. It is essential that the post holder is a driver
16. Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are crucial. Proficiency in using IT systems, training software and tools is also beneficial.
17. The post holder may have additional relevant subject matter knowledge or skills.
