Security Service Engineer – Kent Area
£36,000 – £40,000 (DOE) + Excellent Earnings Potential + Company Vehicle
We are currently seeking a Security Service Engineer to join our dynamic team, providing high-quality servicing and maintenance of intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems across Kent.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Service Engineer who enjoys a varied role and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service. You'll be working with both residential and small/medium commercial clients, including schools and local businesses, handling multiple service calls each day.
Key Responsibilities
* Service, maintain, and fault-find intruder alarm, CCTV, and access control systems
* Work on IP and analogue CCTV systems with basic networking skills
* Perform maintenance of conventional and wireless intruder alarm systems
* Ensure compliance with NSI codes of practice and current industry standards
* Conduct testing, inspections, and accurate reporting for customer handover
Desirable Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a Security Service Engineer
* Competence in intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, and door entry systems
* Knowledge of DualCom monitoring and communication devices
* Understanding of EN50131, PD6662, DD243, BS4737, BS8243 standards
* Experience with Emergency Lighting Maintenance
* Familiarity with app-based security systems and major panel brands
You should be experienced in servicing and maintaining intruder alarms and ideally access control and CCTV systems too. Ideally you will be well positioned to cover all of Kent and report into either Orpington or Canterbury.

Hours & Working Details
* Standard hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am start (7.75 hours per day)
* On-call rota: 1 in 5 to 1 in 9 weeks (with competitive pay)
* Work involves physical activity and working at heights
