Exciting Opportunity: Full-Time Behaviour Support Assistant – Secondary School in Eastleigh

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in Eastleigh. This full-time role offers a rewarding opportunity to work within the pastoral team, supporting students who have been removed from class due to poor behaviour. The position starts from January 2026, with the potential for a permanent contract following a successful probation period.
Your responsibilities as Behaviour Support Assistant will include:
* Providing tailored support to students who are temporarily removed from lessons.
* Working closely with the pastoral team to manage behaviour effectively.
* Building positive relationships to encourage students back into the classroom.
* Assisting with behaviour plans and monitoring progress.
What We’re Looking in Behaviour Support Assistant
* Previous experience in a similar role or working with young people with challenging behaviour.
* Excellent behaviour management skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
* Any relevant qualifications or training in education or behaviour support are an advantage.
