As the Buyer, you will be responsible for ensuring the correct materials are ordered and delivered in line with production schedules. You will manage supplier order books end-to-end, ensuring they support production, business, and inventory plans, while also monitoring and driving supplier performance to meet agreed targets.
Info about what the Buyer role entails
Responsible for the end-to-end management of the order book process for assigned categories and suppliers, including but not limited to:
1. Using the ERP system to release and manage purchase orders in line with demand plans
2. Managing and actioning call-off and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) orders
3. Ensuring all purchase orders are acknowledged within required timeframes and proactively expediting late deliveries with underperforming suppliers
4. Actioning order movement and cancellation messages in a timely manner to maintain supply continuity
